The Wonder of Autumn Bird Migration Right Outside My Window

Yesterday was one of those perfect sunny autumn days. As I looked out the window of my home office, I saw flocks of small birds flying from bush to bush.

When I don’t have much time but still want to enjoy birdwatching, I take a short walk around my yard and the neighboring houses. Even a few minutes outside can bring surprising encounters with nature.

The autumn bird migration is now in full swing, and the bushes are alive with activity.

• In the shrubs, I spotted finches, mainly greenfinches.
• Out in the unmown field, a flock of goldfinches was busy eating seeds.
• And of course, the lively house sparrows were making their usual cheerful noise across half the neighborhood.

Everywhere I looked, there was movement, color, and song.

I managed to capture a few beautiful photos of these little birds. But more than that, the short walk gave me a refreshing mood boost – the kind of energy you need before returning to the computer.
